Our team got a call looking for a Bloomingdale paving contractor to resurface an asphalt parking lot at a nearby store. The store had been in business for many years but was looking for a new asphalt parking lot. We spoke with the owner to get the necessary details for the project. We agreed to meet at the store location the following week for an estimate. The owner of the store was satisfied with the timeliness and diligence of our scheduling for his project.
The following week we arrived at the store and quickly began evaluating the state of the parking lot. The parking lot was old and evidently had not seen any asphalt maintenance in some time. After thoroughly examining the lot, we provided our estimate for the job. The customer was happy with the cost and schedule of the job, and we agreed to begin work the next Monday.
While the asphalt layer of the parking lot was old and cracking, the foundation of the parking lot was still strong and intact. Because of the strong subbase, we were able to proceed with a pavement overlay. We applied a layer of bituminous paving on top of the initial surface. This helped to increase the structural capacity of the parking lot, as well as the overall feel and aesthetic of the lot. The project took a few days, but by the completion of the work, everyone was satisfied with the job.
